Default what kind of pump with fuel cell? filterless?

I'm about to put a one gallon fuel cell in my crx. I have a msd 255 pump to run externally from the cell to my fuel rail (im gonna mount the cell in my engine bay). Do you peeps think that this will be legal? And do I have to run a fuel filter, since it will be so much easier to mount everything if I dont have a fuel filter. The cell and pump are brand new, and I only run race gas, so I know the fuel Im putting in is clean. But will the rules allow this??

thanks in advance

Alex

i used a 1 gallon RCI fuel cell mounted in the passenger side "cold air intake" area, using an MSD in line fuel pump & an earls (brass?) filter. it was easy to mount.

Just be sure the cell is 6 inc away from the flywheel. We also ran a msd and a earls filter setup.

This is the way i used to run it. No filter, never had a problem passing tech inspection. I think as long as it is between the frame rails, it is legal, or if outside the frame rails it has to be surrounded by a bar(like its own roll cage) that way if you hit the wall there is something to protect it. Not 100% sure on that though.

I am running a inline MSD fuel pump with a earls filter right after with no problem... I have a 5 gal cell in the back of my car but I am about to get one to go in the engine bay and keep the same pump and filter setup
