Default Removing oil pan?

I am in the process of removing the oil pan on my A6, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get out the last two bolts closest to the flywheel. It seems like a catch-22, I cannot get the bolts out without removing the flywheel cover, but cannot remove the cover with the oil pan still in.

What am I missing?

Should it just pull down? I removed all bolts and it seems loose, but when I pull on it, it seems trapped by the oil pan.

Use a wrench and not a rachet. You save yourself alot of room. Make sure the oil pan is not sitting at an angle cause that will remove room...It's pretty easy man, give er!

Yup, you guys were right. Once I got the flywheel cover out there was plenty of room.

Thanks!
