Vaccum Etiquette
Does anyone have the "Do's and Don'ts" with removing vaccum lines/ emissions from EF chassis civic. I want to get rid of some unneeded pieces in my engine bay. pics would be awesome.!
I have 3 vacuum lines on my car.
fpr, brake booster and pcv. The map sensor is mounted on top of the throttle body.
All other vacuum lines and emission components were removed.

removing emissions control devices in many jurisdictions can get you in a big heap of trouble
my advice on this subject is: Don't remove these items on any street ride.

Currently running no charcoal canister. Only having 3 vaccuum lines removes the thought of a vaccum leak when concidering a shitty idle haha.
It's ok if it's on a no so street driven car. Luckily my EF is a 100% stock looking car with stock exhaust. They wouldn't check anything.

and that is why SC drivers scare me so much, there are just crazy and don't know how to drive (of course a few have common sense yourself included I hope

yeah sc drivers do suck. tonight im sitting at a stoplight and some little kids are in a mini van with their dad and i guess they were snickering about my Spoon stickers under my mirrors that have the S taken off so they say POON. Next thing I know, all I hear is the van peeling out down the road. It's like do people have nothing better to do.
will this work with any motor set up? ive got a y8 and have a horrible idel right now so planned on re doing all my vacuum lines, and did u just cap off all the others? if so where did u get the caps/plugs?

The pic is a p30 manifold.
make sure the map, fpr, booster, and pcv are connected to the intake manifold. Remove purge solenoid and charcoal canister. Leave the map sensor if it's firewall mounted. DO NOT CAP OFF the red hose on the firewall (next to the fuel filter). Now check your throttle body and intake manifold carefully to make sure it's completely sealed. That's all there is to it.

DAP and autozone have them.

yes. That hose supplied the charcoal canister with fuel vapors. Let it vent to the atmosphere.
