I need to understand what I am doing wrong.

In this run I chirped 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd and I thought my time would be slower but instead it was faster than my previous runs. I was shifting at 8K and I launched at 4K. Any advice on what I am doing wrong? Is it my shifting that's why my 1/8s is still high??? Any comments welcome...TIA

60ft was fair... try less RPM, less tire pressure... LESS throttle!

1/8th... hmm, what mods do you have? Stock, sounds about right.

1/4 - Same as 1/8th comment.

- Try slipping at 3500rpm

 

My tires were at 24psi in the front and 38psi in the rear. I had my koni's set to full stiff in the rear and softest in the front. I think I am just a bad driver!

Apexi N1
CTR cams
AEM CAI

I am going to get rid of my Khumo's upfront and see what happens.

My car isn't tuned yet, which I am hoping is a big weak spot in my power.

Oh yeah I have 15" Kosei K1s with Khumo Ecsta 720s if that helps.

Hey man, if this is at Speedworld, its understandable. That track sucks! i run like 14.7 there and 14.5 at moroso, go figure See ya out there sometime!

 

Yeah it's Speedworld. I am still determined to run a mid 14's before I do anymore mods. My mods need to pay off somehow hahah. Oh yeah I honked at a yellow R with a CF hood on University today if that was anyone here. Peace

Try heating the tires more. I have the same tires same size and I did horrible until I tried getting some heat in the tires. Usually it's a no no on street tires but it helped me! I've run at speedworld also and that track is so messed up. Sticky then slick.
