exhaust backpressure by header?
so my exhaust pipe and flange right by my stock header decided to rust away (stock honda exhaust, so the typical rust), so i had the piping from header to muffler replaced and welded including a new cat (i didnt get a new aftermarket exhaust cuz i got it done for $30 from my dad's friend)....but when i rev the motor and let of the gas, i hear backpressure under my shifter from what seems to be from the exhaust...u can hear "metal air" noises..kinda hard to explain
it never did this before the old pipe rusted away...is it because the flange and pipe weren't sealed properly? or is it a bad weld? there is some orange substance that is on the pipe and i have no clue what that is..its not rust..im not sure though..it was used during the welding...i know im gettin a new exhaust once spring rolls around but right now its pissing me off
btw i also had a short shifter installed with bushings...hopefully that didnt cause anything
any ideas??
thanks

try spraying some water or something where the sound is coming from with the car on, if any mist of bubbles come out its a leak, doesn't affect anything, may need a new gasket or something
