I always have the most random problems/Intake
For some reason my car always seems to have the most random little problems...
I was running with the air filter straight onto the throttle body b/c my intake tube had a hole grinded into it, i just got a new tube today, the tube has 2 nipples, i know one connects to a hose which connects to the valve cover, and the other one i just left alone, which i think might be my problem...
Anyways after i put this on my idle is a little rough, and if i take the car past 5k rpm (only while its in gear) the idle shoots all the way up to redline, and i have to shut the motor off, then when i restart it its fine...
what could be causing this?

If you are not sure, don't post. It could only lead to more problems.
One tube off of the intake goes to the valve cover. The other one should be blocked off.
Make sure you have this done first then come back to us.

Just a guess, is the throttle getting caught on your new intake tube?

The throttle is getting caught anywhere, i checked that...
One of my friends said the tube might be hitting the batter or the battery cable and grounding out, shorting out the TPS.
There was a wire coming off the battery from an old amp kit, so i took it off, assuming maybe it was rubbing onto the tube, also i closed off that other vacumn nipple with electric tape, haven't had any problems for the rest of the nightl; im just worried its going to do it someday when im getting onto the highway, and im gonna have to shut my car off on the on ramp and really be in a situation.
any other ideas?
