Default B18C Into 99 Si Civic - Evap Quick Question !

Hi folks,

I have been stumbling around my engine bay and found a plug which looks like it should goto the EVAP solenoid (Yellow/black , Red) but is just hanging loose in my engine bay.

I used to have a B16 and now have a B18C as far as I can tell the purge can is still the original Si item. My question goes where does the plug go ? A picture or a good explanation would be great.

Thanks folks,

- Prob

The plug is for the EVAP purge solenoid. When I installed my JDM B18C in my EG, I grabed the EVAP solenoid off my D-series intake manifold & hooked it up just like my OEM system (your EK could have the solenoid on the firewall). If you have the Helms manual for your car, it has a detailed description of the EVAP system & how to hook it up properly. Basically there is a #7 vacuum hose that goes from a nipple on the intake manifold to one of the nipples on the EVAP solenoid. Then a second vacuum line going from the solenoid to the EVAP canister....

Since my JDM manifold didn't have anywhere to bolt the D-series solenoid onto, I just ran the vacuum lines & zip tied the solenoid to the engine harness underneath the intake manifold (out of sight)...

I hope this helps
