I was cruising yesterday here in SoCal. It was a really nice day so I decided to put up my sunroof. Popped out with no problem. Everythings was good. Till I got home and pressed the button to close it. Instead of rolling forward and then down. It went down first and then rolled forward. Severly scratching the roof in two places.

It woudln't even go back in all the way. I had to improvise just to get it closed. I opened it up again and tried to see if I could determine the cause of the problem.
It was hard to tell. All I know is it is pushing down way to early.

Anyone have this problem before? Any ideas what might be causing the problem?

Is the mechanism derailed?



I'd remove the glass and check parts 16 and 20.

 

Nice diagram. I'll look into it tomorrow after work.

I really hope it's as simple as something being derailed.
