That's correct, most all dealers will politely refuse to do work such as that. Has to do with Product Liability and modifying it from it's original configuration. If you did find a dealer to do it, I would presume it would be a "straight Time" one-off job which they'd probably assign to the Lube Rack Jockey as a way to gain experience. (you don't want an inexperienced hack doing this for you).

It's not so much if it's a good thing to do, but rather a determination if the cost and complexity of the swap outweighs the benefits. Rest assured, both routes have issues. A percentage of 6th Gen Accords have exhibited Auto Trans problems, while in the same breath I can also say the manual Trans have issues too.

It's really what you want; and if you want (or don't want) to spend the money to do it.

you can use a f23 tranny on the j30, are you serious? is it easier to do, than a cl 6speed swap. do you know of any websites on how to do that stuff and where i can buy.

I think he missed (completely) the"V6" post

Just remember what isn't stated here. Along with the Transmission (6Spd from a CL-S) you're going to need:

*Pedal Hanger Assemblies from Manual '98 Accord
*Clutch Release System
*Shift Mechanism Assembly
*Shift Cables
*Manual Transmission console Assembly
*Clutch safety override harness and switch
and
*Possibly manual Trans axles
