Default Hydraulic Clutch Conversion and Suspension Questions, EF vs EG

hey, i drive a '91 crx hf, i have a complete wrecked '95 Civic Coupe with a d16y7 in it at my disposal at work. How possible is it to use the hydraulic Eg tranny along with all the Eg **** for it like does the master bolt up, Eg Clutch pedal? the hydraulic line? has anyone ever tried bolting this stuff up before? and is there any way to convert my car to obd1 by just using the Eg ecu and whole harness? Last question, has anyone ever bolted up a EG 4 door rear sway bar to an Ef chassis? thanx guys

Trying to convert an EF to a true hydraulic clutch is no easy task and will require some fabrication to accomplish. The problem is the clutch M/C. There is no room for one in-between the firewall and the shock tower. You will have to do a reverse mounted M/C under your dash... not fun.

On my car, I cut the stock clutch pedal off of the pedal assembly and welded a 1/8" plate to it for strength + 1/4" "L" bracket to that. I then welded 2 studs to the "L" bracket. I bought a Tilton reverse swing mount single pedal assembly that bolts to the "L" bracket.

I picked up a Tilton 3/4" M/C that bolts right into the pedal assembly. From the M/C I ran 3/16" Seamless SS tubing to a -3an bulkhead fitting on the passenger side firewall. -3an SS Braided line to the slave cylinder.

I know there a few people that have done true hydro conversions on their cars in different ways, but in all of them it is still a pain in the *** and time consuming.

I would not recommend it to anyone unless it is absolutely necessary.

I might be wrong but I believe you can just bolt any cable "d" tranny to the d16y7. I haven't messed with a d-series in 8 or so year so my memory is a bit foggy on the subject.

As far as converting to OBD1, you can just pickup a OBD0 - OBD1 jumper harness and terminate a few wires and be done with it.

I have no clue with the sway bar

You can purchase a conversion kit (which we offer) so that you can still use your cable with a hydro transmission. This is much simpler than trying to do the conversion with pulling out all the parts. We have installed wtihout doing a reverse mounted M/C but it is not a simple task.

I had the Hasport hydro conversion for the b-series... but when I wanted to run the clutch I have, I had to go full hydro because of the hydrolic T/O bearing that came with it.
