Rear Brake Problem (92 GSR)
I had new brake pads put on about 2 months ago because the rear caliper had got stuck and wore down the pads on the drivers side rear. I replaced the caliper with a low miles used unit and replaced the pads.
A few weeks ago the same brake started making a metal to metal noise (kinda like the low brake pad metal noise) but only going around a right hand corner. Then it started making a loud metal moan when I would back up. Last night it got where it would make a scraping sound when driving all the time. This morning I took the brakes apart and looked at the pads and they were like new. I don't know if the caliper is stuck again or what. I put it back together again and drove it and once the pads heat up it get's worse and makes a griding noise when you stop. If you let it cool off for a few minutes it just barely makes noise then it gets louder again once you build up the heat.
Any help would be appreciated!

I have the same problem right now on my 93 gsr but on the front passenger side same symptoms as yours... gonna take it apart with the old man tomorrow to take a peek at what this bother some noise.. i'll keep you updated
check that the shim (the little metal plate that fixes to the back of the pad) isnt rubbing against anything, and that the caliper is sitting in properly against the rotor.
Check the parking brake tension/adjustment.
Crappy pads can make strange noises, too.
Pads that have been fucked up by getting too hot (i.e., one of your rear pads) are suspect.
Last, think the other rear caliper could be bad, since it has been exposed to the same conditions that destroyed the caliper on the other side?
