I purchased the bike with those on it, changing it properly would be changin the FRONT and REAR sprocket and a new chain correct?

yep, and if you have even considered changing the gearing just to try it out right now would be a good time. How much was the back protector? its the only piece of gear i lack, i have been looking ather pieces but i have never seen this one just to put t into cosideration.

the back protector is actually out of production, but everyone I've spoken with SWEARS by this one, I was lucky to find it. I picked it up for about 150 shipped from http://www.speedwerks.com I believe they have a few left. They are the cheapest online, kneedraggers has them for 200 as does every other place. The guy I spoke with at Speed Werks said he crashed into a wall at a very high speed at Road Atlanta. He went back first, and was knocked out for a few minutes, but was able to walk away with out sustaining any injuries, just a sore body the next day.
I guess since I have the 520 chain, and I'm used to it, I'll go with the same set up. Any recommendation on brands of sprockets and chains?

You do know it's bad form to leave your kickstand down while the bike is on a rear stand, right?
