It's just two wires. Can't be taht bad.

In order to stay obd-0 I believe the distributor needs to be swapped over. There's more but I have no idea.

u need to convert from dpfi to mpfi

the si ecu will work fine...

also get your hands on a SI manifold and bolt that up to the new motor the y7's manifold will work, but ur going to have fitv issues along with iacv and air temp sensor, so go with an si intake manifold..

If you don't mind staying with the DPFI, the swap is really easy:

You would use the stock pm5 for dual point.

si ecu will work, but like they have said before you need to swap to mpfi.

so this is what you will need besides the ecu you already have:
-88-91 si manifold w/ tb and injectors, fuel rail and sensors - basically a COMPLETE si manifold
-88-91 si distributor
-dpfi to mpfi conversion harness - http://www.rywire.com sells one, ebay, and other people on here as well. not that difficult to do.
-also, i would get a 5 speed tranny, si is best but dx ain't that bad.

you can use your stock manifold for now

just search around, you can get most these parts for cheap, ebay can be your friend for something like this. my old mpfi swap cost me less than a $100. u pull it yards are great too.

good luck

I'm kind of a noob, now I got a 1991 civic DX, and I'm looking for a D16 engine from a civic ex with vtec. What's the right code for this? D16z6?

well to get the y7 tranny to work you will need a cable to hydro conversion.

the 88-91 civic trannies are cable operated, while 92+ trannies are hydro. password jdm has one kit from innovative for $150..

that is the only way to keep that tranny, that is why i told you to try and find the 88-91 civic si or dx tranny to upgrade from your 4 spd.

post back up on here if you need some more help

I will run rich and give you crappy gas mileage as well as bad timing. No reason to do it. You can swap the IM for more air flow if you want. I've got an IM I'd sell you.

Its a conversion to allow your cable clutch to actuate the clutch fork on a hydraulic tranny, but you'd still need to fab a motor mount for the passenger frame rail mount. I'm not 100% sure if the rear crossmember mount will bolt up to the hydraulic tranny or not, and you may be fabing a front mount.

You'd certainly save alot of time and effort buying that Innovative part though.
