Default A little confused

I have been looking at different headers, when i first came here i was under the impression that dc and greddy was a good header and now have learned it is not. So i have been looking into prospeed and an-r and i see some people talking about the greddy header having better gains then the prospeed? I am basically stock with a v2 intake and an evo2 exhaust. which of the 3 headers would be best greddy, prospeed or an-r? Will i not get as good of resuslts with the an-r and prospeed because my engine is not built?

Pretty cool you took the time to search. The question you have to ask yourself is how much you are willing to spend. IMO, either Greddy or An-r. Keep in mind that the top shelf headers will bolt on some hp for you, even if your compression isn't high.

Well i looked and an-r is about 500 dollars which i still consider pretty reasonable....i dont really want to spend 1000.00 on a header. Will i get good power gain out the the an-r with my motor being stock (plan on changing later)?

If you don't plan for much more modding to your car (i.e. cams, built head, higher comp. pistons), buying an expensive header will be a waste. You will not see much gains.

I heard DC Sports came out with a header with a 2.5" downpipe. That sounds like the best option for you given your mods. If you plan to build up your H22, then by all means, get a nicer header.

Last I knew, Greddy never made a header for a 5th gen. Only a 4th Gen VTEC Prelude.

Oh, I hope you know that you need to tune your car based on the mods you have too. Just slapping on new parts will yield only disappointment.

Definitely, tuning is a must to get the most power out of your Lude. I personally like Hondata and Neptune.
