problem with 4th gen turn signal
im having a problem with my 93 si4ws turn signal the left turn lights stay on solid even after the car is turned completely off i have checked all my fuses and also have checked the switch and it doesnt go off even if i unplug the harness from the switch. any help would really be appreciated this is the only day i have off work and i need to be up and running by tomorrow
does ur right turn signal work? cuz the right and left turn signals both use the same flasher relay. see there is one flasher relay and it is the first component in the flasher circuit. after that it goes to the switch and the switch directs the feed to the right or left lights. when it is grounded, the flasher relay starts to pulse. the flasher relay is also fed by a hot in run/start fuse. so if it stays on while they key is in the off position its not the flasher relay causing your problem. it must be a short of some sort. and it must be shorted to the flasher circuit on the ground side of the turn signal switch. if you'd like i can get you a wiring diagram of the circuit tomorrow when i get to class.
