Default CRX 3" Thermal blues ...

Just bought a 3" dia Thermal cat-back for my '90 CRX Si. The foreward flange does not mate to my OEM cat. What else do I need to install the kit? BTW: I have a Neuspeed header that I plan on keeping on the car.

this is wierd, it should

are you shure the cat is OEM, what does the flang look like on the cat is it the typical 3 bolt triangle flange

you might have to get a muffler shop to make you a "test pipe" normal triangle flange one side and normal 2 bolt flange on the front to bolt to the header

I ran a 'test pipe' once but had to take it off - with the supercharger it was too loud for the street. I just recieved email from the seller. He ran his CRX in the One Lap of America, and had a 'test pipe' on the car.

Yes, both the OEM cat and the 3" Thermal have the standard triangular exhaust gaskets. Only one is 1" bigger than the other.

Another way to get it done may be to take it to my local muffler shop. The owner is a dirt track racer and understands fabricating. Perhaps they can cut my stock cat and weld on a 3" collector.

what the hell are you talking about a thermal 3" is only to be used on turbo applications and you can't use it with a stock cat as most thermal dealer will tell you before purchasing it.

sell me yours and buy the 2.25" which is what you need unless you're turbo

So thats why I bought a Thermal cat. Read my origional post. I was looking for a cat to fit the exhaust. Thermals E134 comes with a flange allowing you to bolt it to a turbo downpipe or a header (which I have).
