Default my first piece of gear! pics inside!

My Shoei RF-1000 came today while I was at work so I took some pics to share! My gloves are on the way and I'm registered for the MSF course on June 1 at the local MVA. Can't wait for the summer to be here!

let me know what you think.

wow I like that helmet a lot. meh I'm not a fan of chrome visors... Then again I haven't worn one. I always loved the darth vader look with a dark tint on the black helmets

NICE HELMET MAN. QUALITY GEAR IS THE BEST THING YOU COULD EVER SPEND YOUR MONEY ON. IT WOULD LOOK GOOD WITH A IRIDIUM SHIELD THE SAME COLOR AS YOUR BIKE, BUT THE DARK SMOKE ON BLACK IS STRAIGHT CLASSIC. ALTHOUGH I LIKE WHITE HELMET WITH DARK SMOKE SHIELD BETTER.

yea its matte. i picked the finish/graphics cuz its not plain or just a solid color, but its not all busy and out of control. kinda classy and sexy. at least i think so. im gonna get a visor at some point when money permits. probably either regular chrome (whatever that finish is called) or smoke. not sure yet.

has it seriously been that long? either two or three. a while either way. but yea, ill definitely hit you up once i get my stuff together.

thanks for the good words everyone

Im glad you got the helmet you want. The Shoei RF1000 are one of the best helemets I have ever tried on and rode with. You wont be disappointed.

I can't see the pics but you'll love the RF-1000. I have the RF-1000 "Voltage" and I love it.

You'll like the RF1000

When I first tried one on @ the bike shop, I didn't like it compared to my Arai Quantum but a deal I couldn't let pass came up so I bought an RF1000. Two days later it's just aso comfortable as the old Arai and I really like the sheild and vents.

great start man, i was in your position during summer and it's sooo exciting to start collecting gear and start riding. I also know being in college that it gets expensive quick, so be smart about where you spend

imho, dont go with a chrome visor...i've had both dark smoke and chrome and i love my dark smoke one. The chrome one chips/scratches so easily. I take really good care of my chrome visor but every once in awhile a rock kicks up and scratches it or something. I'd rather the smoke!

good luck, rubber side down!
