Help!! burn fuse?? with HU installation
i tried to put on the new HU that i bought for my 94 accord lx. But accidentally i pressed the yellow factory wire on a metal surface and saw a little flash. Then my clock run out(no time shown on the screen), and there is no power to my HU. Therefore the installation still not completed yet, but i want to fix these problems. I guess is the fuse burn out, but don't know which one and how to replace it. What do you guys think?Any help would be appreciated.
First of all if you cant figure out how to replace a fuse then you should NOT be doing any electrical work yourself.
There is a 7.5A fuse under the hood and I believe there is a 10A fuse under the dash. The diagram on the fuse cover will tell you which one it is.
I would highly recommend taking your car to a professional to get this done. I am assuming that you are using solder to connect your wires together then using either heat shrink or electrical tape to insulate the connections right? If not then there are many topics concerning this here just do a search or go talk to some of the guys in the audio section.

thanks for the reply, i did look at the fuse box before posting and did use electrical tape for wire. But since i did not see any fuse pop up different than other, therefore have a question about this.
They don't pop up LOL.
There is a small wire on the inside of the fuse that will lose contact when it has blown. The only way to see this is to remove the fuse from the holder or do a continuity test with a multimeter. Like I said before go and get a friend that knows more about this stuff or take it to a professional shop and have it done right. This will save you from having to file an insurance claim for your car catching on fire.
