Do you know your brake code?
When my immobiliser was activated by the dead battery, the closest service manager gave me the brake code which was supposed to enable me to drive it to the dealer. Unfortunately, I think he was confused on how to enter the code and it did not work. According to: http://www.hondalac.com/servic...e.pdf
service bulletin, you enter the code with the hand brake, not the foot brake as I was instructed.
When I asked my dealer's service manager for the brake code, he refused claiming that it would work with any Civic. Once again, the service bulletin says that the code is VIN specific.
My buddy has a Pilot and was able to get his code, either from the dealer or Honda. You might want to get your code, to avoid being stranded by inadvertant immobiliser activation.

I am trying to determine the brake codes for my 2002 Accord. My dealer refuses to give me the information. How did you get the codes for your vehicle. Also the link in your post to the service bulletin links into a restricted area. ie you can't just go to hondalac.com in navigate into the bulletin sections to look at all the bulletins that are available. i a looking for a particular bulletin (00-049) but I can't get to it. How did you get the link for the bulletin you linked to? I would love to be able to get in and find the bulletins that pertain to my vehicle. Thanks.
