Some suggestions on making my coupe lighter. The trunk has been stripped so has the rear seats any more ideas?

 

remove the sound deadening material on the floor?

 

1. remove the sound deadning
2. remove the carpet
3. passenger seat
4. A/C (completely)
5. spare tire & jack
6. spoiler (if equipped)
7. 1/2 a tank of gas

 

someone just posed a really nice thred about how to remove the sound damping tar, he lost like 15lbs just on that ****!

 

lose PS, AC, dash, cf hood/trunk, carpeting, sound deadening material, Passenger seat, rear seats, windshield washer fluid resevoir (sp?), cruise control, airbox, replace suspension, light wheels, etc.

Whole bunch of things you can do, just matters how extensive you want to get. You can always just lose the bumpers and the hood too.

 

what is sound deadning? what does it all consist of?

 

its like a tar/glue/mixed in with some crazy **** undernieth your carpet to keep road noise down and to asorb some vibration!
