5 lug= 5x114.3, heavier, stronger, incredibly limited wheel selection in the CAST category...

4 lug= 4x100, 4x114.3, lighter, weaker, incredibly WIDE selection of wheels in ALL categories...

I know you are new to this forum, but i do know you have been to other forums as well. This one is no different. There is a search button that will tell you alot more than getting flamed by making a new one.

With that said, of course there is more weight on a 5 lug. Not everyone (at least who i know) don't want to convert to it because the cost to benefit ratio is extremely high. 5 Lug offers better stability primarily during the cornering. Think of it this way, with 4 lugs you put stress on each one. 5 lug takes stress off of the other four, making it more stable. But, i really have never seen someone sheer off a lug on a civic and what not.

No point in upgrading to 5 lug from a 4 lug pattern. If you want, it will cost about 1k to 1.5k to do it. Have fun. Unless of course you want what the others said! Bling Bling. But choice of wheels are limited
