I'll say like I did in your other thread. My personal favorite mod is a FD. ATS makes an awesome product with their 4.9 Final Drive. You will loose a little bit of top speed but the trade off is well worth it. If your that concerned with the top speed of your car, you can run the ATS 4.9 FD with a GS-R 5th gear. ATS products can be found here.

Good luck whatever you do. Also another side note, what are you goals with the car? Are you planning on tracking it? Drag racing? Fun street car? These will help others, help you.

Try a grounding kit, to make up for it. Might work. My SUN kit, made my lights just a tad brighter.

really now? dimming lights?

is it considerably noticable? or a slight difference from before? or something near drastic? i never knew that about the pulley set mod... and i guess a grounding kit would work.

NOT WORTH THE $$$$$.

I have the UR set(crank, alt, p/s) and if I could do it again I would've bought **** instead. Dim lights, grounding kit didn't do **** for that, and the crank pulley doesn't have the harmonic balancer. I've heard of oil pump falling apart because of it. The AEM kit doesn't even include the crank pulley which is where most of the gains come from, as marginal as they are.

Spend your money elsewhere. Hey, I know, how about an ATS FD

Have your oem pulley machined instead. Reduces weight from 2,3kg to 1,3kg. And you keep the harmonic vibration damper.

Here's how mine came out:

It'll have the same effect as lightening your flywheel. Difference is small though.

I'd like to underdrive my AC, PS, and ALT, but want to keep stock crank.

So if anyone has the aem set fs, please post up or pm me....

You can't under drive the AC unless you change the crankshaft pulley. The ITR pulley already has the smallest AC and alternator drive diameters. Use the AEM PS pulley and that's the best you can do without causing problems.

it's not anything crazy just a slight dim.. not anywhere near the dimming you get when running a 1000watt amp pushin two 12's on a stock civic alternator and battery. lol.

Actually, on my hatch I only have an alt and ac, no ps!

But my biggest concern is being able to underdrive the alt - since I don't want to kill it at 10k.....

Perhaps ATI has a crank pulley that will be able to underdrive everything... I'd prefer to keep a crank pulley that has harmonic dampening capabilities.

I have the pulleys myself and I agree with this statment. I did have a problem with the power steering nut not wanting to stay on. I had to replace it twice. I think that its worth it in the end.

i personally think if you've got any kind of decent build going on inside the block that gives you a substantial HP power gain over stock it'd be good in getting rid of a little bit of rotating mass, but if your ITR is anywhere near stock, save this upgrade for later, money is spent better elsewhere
