Default which water pump? mini me (kind of)

a6 block
y7 head
y7/y8 timing belt

which water pump? y7 or y8 or a6?

i assume whichever timng belt i use i whould get the water pump to match-right?

just making sure before i buy the parts. already have the block(in the car) and my head is coming back from the shop end of the week.

thanks h-t

also, how do you guys feel about using a 88-89 pg7 ecu with this setup as opposed to a stock pm6?

D15b7 timing belt works..
The a6 and y8 water pumps both have the same size gears and teeth count so it doesnt matter..

D16a6 block, waterpump, tensioner, and a sohc vtec head ,,use a d15b7 timing belt,,You can also use a d16z6/d16y8 timing belt but its really f*cken tight,,

Also the pm6 would be better since its for a sohc..But without having the right maps for the vtec motor its useless to have the vtec head..In my opinion you should get the pm6 chipped with turbo-edit and run the one wire vtec setup..You have a 90-91 pm6 right..?? http://xenocron.com/te.php?page=TEvtec

Only thing is the Y8 water pump will have a little opposite gear on the end of the pump to prevent the belt from slipping off.

I think the same thing is with the y7 water pump due to them being obd2.
