header worth it?
i want to get a header for my 1996 integra gsr, but i plan on buying a turbo kit next year. I am going to buy a jg edelbrock intake manifold in a week or so. My engine is a rebuilt b18c1 with forged pistons @10.6:1 compression, but stock otherwise with the exception of greddy exhaust and aem intake. Do people really see gains with a header for my application (if so which ones) or should i say ***** it and wait for the turbo kit
monatarily, it doesn't make any sense to get a header if you're going turbo. It'd be money wasted.
the gains you notice don't justify buying one if you're just going to take it off.
Just put the money towards getting your turbo sooner.

did you rebuild your engine with plans of going turbo? because if so - why would you buy 10.6:1 pistons?
but to answer your question, I would not waste the money to get a header. I would save it and make sure you buy a nice kit ie Full Race or PeakBoost. There are others to but go with a high quality kit that wont require you do upgrades when you want to make more than 350whp. my only advice is to know what you want and build around it the first time you do it. don't get yourself into something that you are not 100% sure of. if you do this you will save lots of money and have a better car in the long run.

He said it all. You have to stick to your plan and do it right the first time. Wait for the turbo.
