heater died

Default heater died

hello, i have a 92 accord lx. my heater just died on me. no fan either. fuse is ok. any ideas and costs to fix? thanks in advance.

Spec out where the blower motor is under the dash (behind the glove box) and give it a good whack up-side the head. If it starts working, anticipate replacing it, the motor's bruches have worn to nothing.

No fan at any speed setting? A common failure is the blower motor resistor, but when that happens, the low speeds are dead but it will blow on the high setting.

yeah..no fan at any setting.

so, you have to take the glove box completely out to get to it? what does it look like?

This illustration will give you an idea on the installation orientation for the heater/blower case. You should be able to recognize the curved lower case section (for the blower squirrel cage) when you look under the dash. Give it a whack in that area.
