89 Si with 187K

the driver's side axle is starting to click and I'm wondering how much longer I can put it off, it mainly clicks around corners,

could i get another 2000 miles out of it??? or do it ASAP

LIkely it is your Cv joints, I think you'll be ok as long as your not beating on the car in the 2000 miles. I had the same problem on my 88 camry and lasted about 3000 miles before I neutral dropped it and broke it. Get it right away if you have a fear of it breaking on you during a turn or so. I know that I would if its clicking.

 

Yes you could as long as your gentle in the corners you could get 5000 easy I've see cars drive for 1000's of miles before the axle actually broke. None of which were my cars if your wondering.

Yeah, I drove the **** out of mine when they were clicking, and they lasted like 5-7 months.

 

ok its like 75 bucks to just go get a cheapo axle, then just swap it in, as long as you have the right tools its like a 45 min job the first time, and gets way easier after that. and no nasty sounds or fear of getting stranded.
