ideas for installing 6X9's in 93 civic coupe
hey guys, where should i mount my 6X9 speakers? I just need some ideas because i tried mounting them along the rear top part by the rear windshield and those spots are meant for smaller speakers.
thanks in advance

I was looking to do the same thing in my 98 LS all the audio shops say they won't fit. Are you making them fit in the factory spots with modification? or mounting them some place else? I would like to know, please.
i wouldn't do it. the torsion bars in the trunk are ur main problem. you can cut the hole to fitthe 6x9's but u'll still hit the bars. i'd scrap the idea. (i know used to have an ej1)
I would't go through all the trouble to put 6x9's in a car they don't even fit in. Sell them and buy the right speakers. and how was i supposed to know that you already knew the size of the stock speakers when you never even explained it. 6x9's suck anyway.

Rear speakers will ruin the sound anyways. sell your 6x9's and put it towards and amp or front components or something useful.

How will it ruin the sound?
Seriously askin not being an ***.
I have 6x9s cut into my rear deck 95 4dr Civic and also 6.5s and tweeters in the front and it sounds pretty good.Crystal clear and a uniform sound.
Granted i havent sitten in a competition SQ vehicle, but i like to think i know what sounds decent.
