The only way to make noteworthy gains is to turbo, or swap. And you wouldnt put a b series in an 01, you would put a k series in there.

i got the same problem...sorta. i've got an EX, so i got vtec goin for me but yeah unless you have the patience to swap in a K series or the money to turbo it, you prolly arent gona have a 10 second car. personally, i think i'm gonna trade in mine for an EK i think and go from there.

trust us... you don't want to do anything to that motor unless you turbo it =X

I have a lot done to my SOHC 4 door D16Y8 (automatic)...
I can barely keep up with a 94 hatch Civic with a GSR swap...
Wouldn't do anything with that motor... keep saving up I should say =P
