blown engine - b18 bottom on zc head

Default blown engine - b18 bottom on zc head

is it possible? i dont know what engine i can throw my zc head onto. my bottom was built with perf pistons and the top with cams. i blew a piston trhough the side (long story). would i b able to set my head from my dohc zc onto the b18 bottom or a d16?

no.. ZC head fit ZC & D16A1 bottom... thats about it.

thanks. what about an old 88 ls, will that fit, and also, you mentioned the d16,,,why not the d15?? thanks once again

the d16a1 is the 86-89 integra engine.

88 ls IS d16a1... Which is the less power making USDM version of the ZC. D16A1 is a DOHC d-series like the ZC, their the only ones able to interchange top end parts. But You also cant use a D16A1 bottom in your car because the tranny bolts differently to the block

thanks fdor everyoes help. i did the impossible. i swapped a d16a to my ride cus i was desperate to get it running. the tranny had a lot of mods done to it (including retapping). engine mount was the hardest cus i got a block with power steering and had a different type of mount. i also swapped the pistons on to the d16z and polished, ported my head. it runs great. thanks once again for the help
