Default HardSaltydogg's illegitimate child**56k go have a kid of your own**

My project ef hatch under way since 10/2005:
Bought it for $1100 with a swapped in d16A6.

I will update some pics tonight
My Plans:
EF9 Front End, taillights, cluster and seats
Key-less Doors
Paint
My goal is a solid 13 sec N/A daily driver. Any suggestions on what motor setup will be welcomed. Swap pending August or sooner depending which way I want to go.

Looking from the outside of that car, i would have never guess the interior and the engine bay would look so god damn good. Give it a nice paint job and some wheels, and you got one clean *** car.

N/A 13sec car. My vote goes to ls/vtec with a LSD b16 transmission.

Compression test the d16a6... if it looks healthy... boost it. You can get into the 13s without issue on a simple home made kit... If they put the SI tranny in with the a6... you also already have nice gearing.

^^^^^ I am with him.

For less than two G's you could have a REALLY fast single cam that will bitchslap 9/10 LS/vtec's
and 10/10 B16's

Looks like the car's been left in the sun for the majority of its life, but no rust = . Good luck with whatever you plan to do .

Uhh. No dont listen to this guy. Why do people do projects and start with cosmetics ? Its stupid and pointless. Get your motor work done. and eat all the bitches up with a ugly *** EF. Then when the time is right, get your front end and paint it.

i agree with you to some extent, but day in day out driving with an ugly car that gets scoffing looks from others takes it's toll on an individual. it's disheartening. on the other hand getting compliments on how clean your car is very motivating and joyful. balance is key. i'm not arguing one way or another, just sharing some thought's. best of fortune to you mr. saltydogg.

**** tell me about it. I love my car threw and threw I wouldnt replace it for the world. I love getting complements about it but I only get discourage because of my cracked side skirt. doesnt looked cracked until you get close but the paint on the crack chipped off so its more obvious

I have decide to do a mini me swap, I was able to pick this up @ the yard for $45.

I want to be able to pass a sniffer for smogging reasons so from what I read I would have to convert to obd1. Also any sugeestions for the cam, dizzy, and other parts you think I need to get well be appreciated

Looking good. I had a mini me in my last 4 door ef. Had a 97 vtec head so the distributor fit nicely. Also had a ZC tranny. Sucker pulled pretty hard. I was hanging up there with LS and smoking SI's no problem. Have fun.

Vtec solenoid
obd1 injectors
obd1 dizzy
obd0 to obd1 jumper harness
p28 ecu
z6 cam and retainer
gasket and valve cover
Timing belt? (not sure if my a6 wont work)
