HT members, I've got some issues with my 95 4 door non vtec. First off, a friend and I did some work to the car. Thermostat, cam seal, and new OEM lights. Afterwards, I'm leaving the auto shop and notice that the speedometer isn't work and that when I hit 3K rpm, the car began bogging down and gave me violent throw back and forth. Then when I really pushed the gas all the way down it kick into gear and pulled like a ****. When I came to a stop and drove off, it started all over again. Once the check engine like came on, the symptons stopped and the car then seemed like normal again, but the speedometer is still down in the dirt. Also it only would bog when I put it in gear and gave it gas. When it was in neutral and coasting, I could rev with no problem, but pop it back in gear and it bogs. Now I think that it could be the speed sensor, but not sure. I do know that early in the day I hit some snow/ice chunks and I felt it rub up against my tranny and then felt alittle bogging with the car, but seemed to go away. I will have someone check to see what codes are being thrown tomorrow, but just wanted to see what you guys might think. Thanks in advance.

 

I just had the same problem on my 4 door gsr. Check your speed sensor. My gsr bog also and speedo wasnt working. When ever i hit the pedal and gas it bogs. It turns out the ground wiring going to the speed sensor was loose. Check those. I guarantee it will fix your problem. Trust me bro i know how it feels i was putting up with the speedo for a week.
