Default Question about RACING/SPOON mirrors and thier VISIBILITY

I'm contemplating on getting spoon style mirrors for my Integra, but havent heard too many opinions/comments on them. I've heard that racing style mirrors lack the same visibility of stock mirrors, but does anyone have any other comments to back that up cause I'm really looking into getting some racing style mirrors.

authentic spoon/vision mirrors suck in visibility because they are made for rhd.....nothing will be better than stock visibility-wise because the stock ones are bigger.......get them if you like the look of them but expect to have less visibility

Any idea on how much it will reduce my visibility? Cause other people say they can see great using them. So I'm stuck right now. I do like the look of them but dont wanna buy them if im sacraficing TOO much visibility.

Different brands have different visibility issues, they're not all the same.

However, there is a thread on how to fix the visibility problems they give you. It's a little diy on changing the adjustments etc. (search around for it)
Also on top of that, I'd say buy a broadway rear-view and you should be plenty good.

my authentic spoon mirrors decreased visibility dramatically because they are made for rhd.....now if your buying the fake ones, i wouldnt know how much less visible it is, cause i never had them.....try getting the tyc brand spoon style mirrors because i heard they were dot approved.....me personally i never used my mirrors, its just for looks

Were you still able to see enough when driving though? Cause I have a broadway mirror, i guess that should help

What he said. I had the real ones on my old EG and out the driverside mirror visibility was substantially decreased. Not too big a deal for me b/c I almost always look over my shoulder anyway no matter what car/truck/machine I'm in

Good to know

How much did you guys actually pay for your mirrors and where did you buy them? I was looking at the $40 on ebay but im skeptical on the visibility/durability of those spoon replicas.

That RHD myth is BS! My car is RHD and the visibility still sucks ***, you still have to mod it a bit.

The spoon mirrors for some reason just points down too much!

ive had 2 set of authentic spoon mirrors . they are the ******* **** i love the vision out of them. i herd the fake ones suck , imagine that....

i dont know why so many people have had bad experiences with the bad ones . they have adjusted perfect for me. i mean you dont see your door or the sky anymore but the cars are in view perfect which is what they are designed for. ive had perfect vision out of them.
