Default B16A2 OBD1 ecu into a 95 gsr.....

Can someone please help. I need a OBD1 gsr ecu but can't seem to find one. I can get a B16A2 OBD1 del sol ecu so can I put it into my 95 gsr? How much power will I lose.

I believe VTEC crossover will be higher than before. Not sure but fuel and timing maps could be different. Anyone else know?

The B16A2 came in the 99-00 Civic Si. The OBD-1 DOHC VTEC del Sols came with a B16A3. That ecu is the P30 and it will not controll the butterfly valves inside you intake manifold. Plus your VTEC crossover will no longer be at 4400 rpm, it will be at around 5500 rpm. Not a good idea to change.

If you do get the B16a ecu, then get the Skunk2 intake manifold and you will be fast as hell. If you keep the GSR intake manifold and use the B16a ecu, your car will bog below 4400 rpms and be a dog.

I know cuz I had that setup for a while.......

plus there is no knock sensor on the p28's, it's pretty worthless anyway (only good for those that put in the wrong octane) but i thought i'd throw it in...

or if your tight on cash, you can get a msd rpm activated switch that will open it at the right time.

should be differences in fuel. b16 ecu is giving fuel for a 1.6l engine verses the b18's 1.8l engine.
