ecu question
Well yes and no. They are both OBD2b but the problem is that your GSR requires the proper ecu to open the IAB's and the fuel maps really should be the appropriate ones for the motor (there is a considerable difference between the maps for a B16 and a B18.)
So technically yes it'll start your car but it would not be a wise thing to do.
I know you're reluctant to convert to OBD1, but it would be advantageous in this situation in that you could basically run any VTEC ecu and just have the GSR maps burned to an EEPROM to put in the ECU.

well the reason i want to use the P2T is that i am using the blox intake manifold so i don't have the secondary runners no more, i don't have enough engine mod yet to get hondata and OBD1 convertion, so i was thinking if the P2T ecu will work for now?
the gsr ecu would work out better. As stated above the maps are totally different between the two ecu's. I am putting together a ls vtec with a b16 head and i'm using a gsr ecu, i'm just not wiring in the butterflies (IAB). But everthing should still function properly for you with the gsr ecu if anything thing you might feel a slight bog when you hit vtec until the time the secondaries would normally open (5500?).

Yeah like hondaluva was saying, you have to take into consideration that an si ecu will be fueling for 1.6l displacement and has ignition mapped accordingly. As slight as it may seem that extra .2l of displacement not only needs more fuel, it needs the correct amount of fuel. Even if you were to, say, turn up the fuel pressure you would have enough fuel, but it wouldn't be tuned properly.
Your car will drive with that ecu, but a motor is a terrible thing to waste over an inproper ecu. Find an obd2 gsr ecu, or as stated earlier, you can get any obd1 vtec ecu and just run a stock gsr map.

just finished installing the blox intake manifold, the thing i notice when i drive the car now is that the vtec changer over is alot smoother than before, and also i can't really hear the change over but i can feel it. and also no check engine light. i thought my check engine light will be on since i don't have the secondary runners no more...guess i am lucky
