Any "layer" you add will help, the "baseball bat" would be more visible, but both are easily bypassed, a hidden kill switch would be more effective.

I know that everyone is saying that kill switches are effective, but couldn't the thief just go to the fuel pump and disconnect the wire to the cut off switch and add another piece of wire in the middle to connect the fuel pump and get the car started? Sorry that this isn't much help to the original poster, but I thought it might be somewhat relevant.
It takes time, and they'd have to know in advance regarding the switch to bypass it quickly (<30 sec).
The baseball bat is effective because it's a visual deterrent, even though it's quick to bypass. Add a fuel kill switch for $10.00 more and you have pretty effective security against most amateurs...

well with the baseball bat its really easy to cut the two sections of the steering wheel and bypass that altogether....that would take a lot less time then cutting and connecting wires on the fuel pump
To get to the fuel pump wire on most Hondas, you'll have to pull out the rear seats. You can't just rip it out. I remove the rear seat quite often, and it's still a pain in the ***. Not something I'd do in the dark with an alarm blaring.
If you do a kill switch, use a high quality switch, and make sure you know how to connect wires. You don't want to be stalling out on the freeway and getting hit by some idiot.

i found this article on "DIY fuel cut off for a CRX" https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1297327 is this going to be the same instructions for a acura integra??.... i dont want to mess something up...
if theres an actual post for a integra... that'll greatly help... thankx

Although it was a pretty good write up it is far to easy to bypass if you get to the point where the fuel pump power wire was cut.
A better way is to cut the input relay control lead for the injector power relay, and power for fuel pump both are the same wire and are found in the "PGM-FI MAIN RELAY" black/yellow lead going into "PGM-FI MAIN RELAY" doing so will keep injector relay from turning on and although fuel pump relay will still turn on there will be no power output from the relay, this can be done up under the dash, wiring and switch can be well hidden.
BTW doing it this way can't be bypassed by running a power wire to the fuel pump, the injectors are still "off line"
