In love with another rare car
Still think the ITR is probably more fun to drive, but dam, 13.3 quarters in a stock Jeep
That's gotta be fun too.

Sad? Maybe. It's totally unnecessary as a means to transport our fat-asses from point A to point B..However, you would then also have to say that any car other than the one with the best MPG, car racing in any form, as well as boat and motor-cycle racing, and any other leisure activity involving the unnecessary consumption of fuel is sad. The end result is the same. So unless you're willing to drive a Toyota Prius and never watch a racing event again, and never take a pleasure cruise in your ride anymore, you really can't judge what's sad.

Yeah but there is a difference.
The cars that most of us drive Type R's are actually very fuel efficient. For a high performance vehicle anyways.
So efficiency does exist in the sports car world, most manufacturers just choose to ignore it.

and if you check my sig, you will see that at one stage i did myself have a behemoth. After two years of ownership I just couldn't understand why anyone would want to drive one.
I went through 120 liters of fuel a week, and I was driving very conservatively (400 - 500 km a week). Meanwhile my Type R and turbocharged accord never used more than 60 liters a week(at least 700 -800km a week).

Supposedly gas is going to pass the $3 mark again soon. These new Jeep models (SRT8 and the Commander) won't be in high demand once again.
I agree w/ your sentiment, BTW. The millions and millions of SUVs on the road contribute massively to our dependence on foreign oil. It bugs the crap out of me. Sorry America--you don't need an SUV if you only have 2 kids. You just don't.

nice rig.. but for about 8k less you could get a ss trailblazer... the 6.0 in them respond well to mods especially nitrous... a little slower outta the box than the srt-8... but a few mods on the ss and less money you got yer self an SUV that will hang or passup some of the fastest suv's on the market.. that and the ss looks better imop
