Valve cleaning?
I had a leak coming from the valve cover so I took it off and looks like im gonna need a new gasket set. Can you clean or do anything to the valves considering there are 80,000 miles on the car and im sure nothing has ever been done to them? Or does the oil do most of that =X
valve adjustment since you got the valve cover off. Not a bad idea to replace the tube seals while you are at it. they are like $30 so it's not that expensive.
Running either Sea-Foam or GM's Combustion Chamber Cleaner thru the engine is the closest you can get to cleaning the valves; short of taking the head completely off and performing a valve job on it.
If you're not burning oil, I'd limit your forays to Valve Cover gaskets and the occasional Valve Lash Adjustments.

honda has a top engine clean that they sell. works really nice. all you gotta do is make a device that can screw to the can you get at honda. make sure it has a valve were you can adjust how much goes in. unplug the vacuum line thats on the brake booster. make sure the car is running when you unplug the line.its much easier if you just have honda do it. but just in case youre a do it yourself guy

Honda itself doesn't sell anything of the sort. Your dealer does that on their own. Just had to clarify that.

I picked some of this 'GM cleaner' up from the Honda dealership just last week. BG 44K. They highly recommended it, stating that it's part of their tune-up routines, and after using it, I give it a
. Nearly a noticeable increase in gas mileage and performance. At least more so than other fuel treatment cleaners. Sadly, a single can of it nearly made me broke. (not that hard to do anyways)

Give me the part number then. I've never seen it in the Honda catalog. I work for Honda too and I've never done any kind of induction cleaner made by Honda. I have no reason do doubt you, I just want the part number so I can check it out.
man you guys reply fast....... lol. its called TOP ENGINE CLEAN. ill get the part number at work tomorrow. or i could take a picture of one.lol . if i could figure out how to put pictures on here.
BG44K is a product sold independent of any auto manufacturer. It is manufactured by BG Products, and sold to garages by what amounts to snake oil salesmen.

I personally can't vouch for it. Having 18 years in the GM Dealership network, guess which one I use.....

I think what you'll find Monday (assuming your roofs sealed by then) when you first query your "Parts Counter Guru", he'll come back with either
GM Top Engine Cleaner (PN# 1050002) or
BG Products (PN BG 44K)
as the product they use.
I don't believe Honda gets involved in Consumer Chemicals. I think they limit themselves to consumables (ATF, PSF, Brake Fluid and such),

Your exactally right. Take a trip to your closest Honda school and you will be preached to about "snake oils" in various fluids and how it drives up the price of ownership. For the most part I agree that's why I was cleverly making my point without making a scene. I'm all for fluid replacement and cleaning but none of that by using additives.
The truth is Honda does not reccomend ANY flush except for changing brake fluid every 3 years independant of mileage and changing transmission fluid.
