AOLIN alarm into 2002 civic
installing for a friend. iv never heard of this company AOLIN. Also doesnt help that these install directions are terrible.
im pretty sure i can make sense of all this . . . cept for a few things like there being a + output/input (?) to the oil pressure light .. dono what thats all about.
anyway..to the point.
iv installed quite a few alarms, mostly on EG's and DC's . . .
will this 2002 civic be much diff.. as far as ignition wire colors ?
are they still white, black, black w/ white, black w/ yellow ... like usual ?
or have they changed over the years ?
also on this alarm...
i have 6 wires labled central locking (for keyless entry)
but thats about the extend of the detial it goes into...
iv never done keyless entry.. am i wirring this into the main switch @ driver door..or do i have to run wires to each individual door ?
any alarm guru's in here... your help would be greatly apreciated
thanks

I also have never heard of the brand, is it also a remote start? If so, it would explain the oil light input, [some remote starts have this as an option if you can't get a good tach. signal, the oil light going out tells the remote start brain the motor is running].
The 6 wires for "central locking" tells me the unit has door lock relays built in, allowing you to do any door lock system including adding door locks to a car that does not have them by just adding the actuators to the doors, your friends Honda uses a neg. (-) trigger, so you will need to find the inputs, "common" [ the fused one/s] ground them and the N/O, [normally open] connect to door lock neg. (-) triggers, remove the N/C, [normally closed] here is a tag in sheet for your friends car.... http://www.directwholesale.net...eID=3 courtesy of http://www.bulldogsecurity.com
Hope this helps, feel free to IM me if you have other questions
