I have a bunch of things to say, but I will have to save it for the AM when I am actually sober. Check back tomorrow afternoon, and I should have a pretty detailed post for ya.

EDIT: Dave_B, feel free to post the email I am sending you about the JRSC build in this thread. It may prove to be very useful.

Read the above threads that Dave_B posted. Also search for "jrsc" if you're looking for more info on the Jackson Racing Supercharger.

Also, if you want to preserve "Honda reliability", leave your car stock.

i have had my kit on for about 2 months now.. as long as you get the right supporting mods and you get the car "well" tuned on a dyno, there is nothing but pros for me...

They are really fun. At 8psi with the LHT intercooler I'm making 265 hp, when I used to have to run 11psi to make the same power. also making 185 tq.

Thing is a blast to drive...instant boost anytime.

I have one of each, 87 teg with turbo charged b18c5, 92 GSR NA, and 98 ITR supercharged...each has it's place in my heart.

Tuning is the most iportant part of adding mods to the car.

Look into the Vortech if you have the flows man, because of the optimal positioning and cooling of the sc it makes better numbers. I've heard on really hot days the JRSC does not perform as well. But still a fun toy!

I'd love to see it

Only one I've seen a chart for (B16) made 270+ peak, but nothing low (as Vortechs do), and was reported to be barely driveable.

Worse than a turbo, from what I heard. No real build-up low, then a massive ramp. But that may be typical of snailed Hondas, I've got peak torque from 2k up in my turblowed sled

I'm about to do a turbo build but if your new to the F/I world then the JR's a great way to get started. Mine put down 260whp & 175wtq on 10 psi. Also made a pass down the 1320 w/ a 13.4 @ 109 on the crappy street tires. Type in a search of JRSC & there is tons of great info on alot of those threads. Good luck!
