Default Car fires up but then dies.

Ok so i finally got my car to fire up, but it will only run if i work the throttle. When i let off it dies. I am getting fuel, spark and the timing is dead on. so what else could my problem be? i have tried changing the plugs out and it gets no better. I even tried my other cars distributor, iac, and throttle body. So what is my problem? You guys helped me figure out my other problem so lets get this one also. Thanks again

Check your IAC and make sure you have the right plug on it. If not that, make sure your TPS and MAP connectors are not reversed.

It could be your main relay. those things go bad all the time. How did you know your timing was "dead on" if your car only ran for one second?

i was refering to the timing belt being right on. as far as the dizzy timing it would start in any position i thought but would not run that great. i have tried the dizzy in many diff positions. i just swiithced the main relay out with a known good one and still nope

will it stay started if you give it gas to try to save it from dying?

my car was doing to same thing after doing my JRSC. turns out it was my map sensor controller. put my fuel enrichment relay back on which replaces that. it messes with my map sensor and iat sensor. so just give those a good check. but it was giving those same symptoms. where it would start go to idle then die

ok i got it to idle at 1800rpm and it is deff not right sounding. So i finally could get a timing light on it and it is lined up with the white line and not the red one. so i guess my timing belt is off? If i am think correctly it would mean exhaust is off 1 tooth
