A close friend of mine is having the EXACT same problem as you are, but he has a 96 Civic DX with OBD-2 GSR swap and bolt ons. Feels a bit laggy until the top of 3rd gear and sometimes bottom of 4th and then it just loses all the power all the sudden.

If anyone knows anything, help us out!

ever check the code?

it might be losing oil pressure... vtec needs oil pressure to stay activated... it sounds like you could be running into that problem..

i checked the code for him and its a 22, vtec pressure switch, but its a jdm ecu which as im told doesnt require a pressure signal. so im a little confused myself. we agreed to just drill and tap the hole and put a pressure switch in.
