brake calipers shaking
a few days ago i open up my calipers to check on my brake pads to see if it has life left. when i put it back i notice if i hold onto the calipers to shake it, it rumbles a lil bit. and now when i'm braking my steering wheel and pedal is shaking a bit. i also notice one of the 2 screw on the rotors are bent and is not really tight, now what?
The screws on the rotor really only hold the rotor on when the wheel is off.
What do you mean the caliper shakes ? If the bolts are tight, it should not shake. You sure its not the rotor shaking ?

yeah i was confuse my self. the rotors are not shaking, the bolts are all on very tight, i'm afriad to tighten it more cuz i might break off the bolts. but when i grab the calipers and move it back and fourth it moves very little.
If you break the bolts it dosnt matter, I just went through this... Taks all the bolts on the break assembly that look bad. Take them to your local O'Rielys, AutoZone, Pepboys, ETC and they should have what your looking for. AutoZone had them all for .99 cent.
Then pick some break rebuild black lube, you'll be set, Be sure to spray rotors real good with brake cleaner, that greases is messy but the cleaner will knock it off.
