need some help!
whats up guys? aight, heres the problem. i've posted before asking advice on this but i have it narrowed down a little. i wrecked my car a while back and did some serious damage. i bent the frame pretty bad and the diff bearings in the tranny were warped cuz the axles got jammed inward. well, started going through axles like crazy, every two months or so. so i dropped some coin to get the frame straightened and a new core support installed. still going through axles. more coin got me a new type r tranny. still going through axles. the last time i had them replaced, the left intermediate shaft bearing failed, causing the shaft and axle to mesh together. still i can feel vibration while driving. my mechanic only had one suggestion, lift it up some. now my mechanic is not one of those that thinks that if its not stock, its wrong. he is very into the scene and has one of the baddest eg's i have ever seen. i'm not doubting his opinion, but i was just thinking maybe u guys had some suggestions, maybe something we missed. i'm dropped on neuspeed race springs, so i have to buy coilovers to raise it (don't want to go back to stock). i love my car, but i'm close to selling it and starting over. someone please help me with some advice. also, has anyone else had this problem just from lowering their car about 2 inches? seems wierd to me. sorry for the long post, but thanks for any help.
yes, they are remanufactured, but my mechanic has been running them on his built hatch for a while with no probs. also, he said that i am the first to have a prob with these since they started using them a few years ago. when i say they are going bad, i mean that the inner joint continues to fail. i don't think it is the axles because i've had about 6 sets of them and they have all went bad after about 2-3 months. also, when i'm driving i can feel vibration from the front. almost the entire front has been replaced, and the frame straightened. i want to try to lift it some when i get the money for coilovers, but i just don't understand why everyone else can drive their cars at the same height and have no probs. it makes me think there is still something wrong with my car. i'm only dropped on neuspeed race springs with 205/40/17 tires. i just don't get it.
well i was. they have all been warrantied until the last set. my mechanic said they can't warranty anymore becuase its obviously something else causing them to fail. plus i moved to another state so it would be pretty out-of-the-way to go get them warrantied evertime they went bad.

I dont know a lot about this situation, but the only 2 cents i can throw in is to try to keep using warrantied axles untill you get it figured out so you dont spend a fortune

yeah, thats the plan for the next set. i'm about to go take some pics and post them so u guys can take a look and see if anything is out of whack or bent or something. everything has supposedly been fixed, but this wasn't a problem before the accident so SOMETHING has to be messed up. take a look when i post pics please.
