I case you hadn't heard, Hasport is building a CRX to race a VeeDub on the Speed show Pinks. We are currently looking at our options and will announce a date with location and times. As you know on Pinks if you "lose the race, you lose your ride." We're adding our own twist and the two cars will be sold by lottery or auction after the event with the proceeds going to to the winner's chosen charity.

Both teams will be building cars with 10.5 second quarter mile performance, and will race best 3 out of 5 to determine the victor. This should be fun!

As a part builder of the ACVW Community car, you HONDA folks should set up a paypal account for those that can't work on the car but to contribute what cash you can (one guy came up with the idea of everyone skipping lunch one Friday and donate that cash to the fund) so the Honda team (John's crew) won't have to carry the whole load from his pocket book. It goes a long way to help defry the cost of like towing & race fuel, hotels and all the little things that add up FA$T!

Get your Industry involved too with parts donations too as this will be advertized big time. Even get out and promote this project at your local car shows / races.

This is going to be a win / win / win situation as the charities will benifit the most and that's what this is mostly about.

On our board, there's talk of a BBQ the night before and inviting both camps to it but we have not been told the date or location yet. But it is supposally here in Calif. somewhere.....but that may change.

I also would to see it filmed that both build teams / crews to have a line shake of hands either before or after the last race.

Pink's and Speed Channel have talked about also promoting the auctioning of both cars (maybe Barrett Jackson?)and may handle that and transfer of the funds to the one or both charites.

Let's see if our both communities can also add to that total too thru fund raising????

Hasport is not asking for donations from individuals for travel and other expenses, and we have most of the donated parts already lined up. Names to be named later... If individuals want to give directly to charity the Hasport team is racing for the American Diabetes Association and the ACVW team is racing for Hurricane Katrina relief. We are trying to figure out a equitable split so both charities will see some benefit no matter which team wins. It should be fun!

Since it hasn't been posted here, the REMATCH is Friday, March 3rd @ 3 pm (333) at Speedworld in PHX., AZ. again.

The VW team is talking about a BBQ get together and inviting the Honda team over too, BUT Thursday, Friday might after the event or what? It is not set but....?

Remember, this is for sportsmanship and the Charities (plus to get our import motorsport / industry some real exposure / respect too)!

Are you sure about that schedule???....think it's been changed to Sunday March 5th
