i have this annoying rattle that sounds like a heat shield on my 94 coupe which one could it be i already removed the ones off of the the exhaust manifold

 

Most likely right underneath your shifter around your exhaust.

thats probably what it is, there is a heat shield around your catalytic converter

 

is it easy to take off

 

yeah its pretty easy, i think its 6 nuts you would have to take off, i think they are 10 mm, they might be 12. You could also just look at it and see if its touching anything that would make it rattle and you could just bend it back if you dont wanna take it off.

there is no disadvantage to taking it off right?

 

No. other than a quarter of an ounce weight reduction if you want to get technical.
