No spark issues.... related to timing break???
Ok, its a 90 Accord EX Automatic, the timing belt snapped on this thing. A friend of mine put a new belt back on but now he's not sure if the timing is correct but its not getting spark. Would the timing being maybe way off not give spark??? I tested the 2 wire plug to the dizzy with a test light, one has power the other doesn't which I'm assuming power/ground correct?? Any ideas here, he tryin to get this car back on the road.
If the cam is turning the distributor shaft you shouild have spark, now if that spark is in time with the crank stroke is a different problem.
Thats the issue, the camshaft is turning but no spark at all and the dizzy is getting power is thats the correct plug I meantioned that I checked for power. Now, he changed out the dizzy with a working one that he def. knows that works & nothing either. Its really puzzling cause the car was fine before the belt broke and now the belt is on and its no spark at all.
