Default cams expereinces with type r springs?

Below is my set up, it's not a ITR but a CTR stroked hybrid in a 2000 civic coupe! I need to know what experiences you type r guys of had with skunk2 stage 1, spoon cams, toda spec a, buddyclub 3+...basically cams with stock type r valetrain???

PRM Jet Stream Racing intake
Bored Type R TB
Port Matched Type R intake Manifold
B16B head with Stock CTR cams, new type R springs+ retainers, valves and seals
Port n polish, 5 angle valve job and resurfaced head
Ngk Blue wires and Iridium IX #6 plugs
B16a bottom end, balanced crank assembly, oil squirters and 81.25mmCTR pistons
(prefered the b16a R/S of 1.74 vs CTR's 1.84)
B16B LSD Type R trany with ATS 3-4-5 gears
Toda Flywheel, Bully 4 puck stage 3 clutch+pressure plate
BnM Oil Cooler and Short throw shifter
Spoon 4-2-1 headers with custom 2 1/2" cat back ( with test pipe)
Hondata S100 chip in a obd1 p61 ECU
Holley 255 fuel pump, aem fuel rail and pressure reg, 450cc injectors

Final numbers 184whp, 116lbs-ft torque on mustang dyno, Comp 11.8:1
red line 9000 rpms

Thanks!!!

Ctr stroked hybrid? lol, so you have a b16a with ctr pistons, with a ctr head. Some decent parts some useless parts. As far as cams go, i wouldnt run any of them on itr springs, it may work for a time, but you better of with some rocket gen2's or omnipowers. Persomally I would go with a set of pro1's or rockets m22's. Do your self a favor, get some 7 heat range plugs in there

i've been running toda spec a's with stock itr valve springs for a couple of years now with 9200 rpm rev limiter.

for peace of mind, i'd recommend going with valve springs - they will come in handy in case of a mis-shift.

Thanks for the tip with the type 7 spark plugs...I did get myslef a set of Iridium Ix 7s!!! I call it a storked hybrid cause it's simpler then describing the engine LOL
I wanted to put some cams inthere without having to take the head off again and send it to the machine shop ( to get the spirngs and retainers done cause I just got the valve seals and new type R springs put in) I will tough the ctr cams till next winter, then I will go Skunk2 stage2 with skunk2 dual springs and retainers!!!

Thanks guys!

I have been running SK stg1 with stock itr valvetrain for 3 years now with no problems. I keep the revs under 9K as there was no extra power found after this point.

Most of my power was on the high end. Pulls hard from 5500 to redline. The cars has spent many hours on the dyno.

A few things got done at the same time.
My baseline run was 156hp and 126tq, bone stock ITR swap with a terrible header.
We put in the S2S1 cams, DC 4-1 header, RC440's, fuel pump, FPR, and Hondata.
The new numbers are 196hp and 131tq.
I dont have any dyno sheets handy so I cant tell you exactly where the biggest gains were.

Thanks man, I was hoping to findout where your power started to fall...My peak power with the ctr cams is at 8500 or so and was trying to see if the stage 1s would move my peak power higher!!

Thanks for the imput and nice numbers!!

Pat

Yeah, I was pretty surprised with the numbers myself. The cams made power all the way to 9000rpm. Good luck with your build!!
