Buddy Club Spec III Cams or Toda Spec B?
Have narrowed it down to these Cams for my R. Cost isn't too much of an issue as long as it is justifiable.
My car is going to be used mostly for street & circuit. No 1320 runs.
Current mods are Spoon drop-in filter, JDM 4-1 Header, Buddy Club Spec III Exhaust with high flow cat, Denso Iridiums IK22's, Buddy Club Racing Spec Coilovers.
Any feed back from those who are running either set up would be greatly appreciated.
Didn't find any comparing threads for the two when I used the search function.
I say take your money and put it towards a couple of track events...i kid i kid.
I have the BC Spec 3+, which are considered one of the milder set of cams. I wanted to spice up the pre-vtec range of the odometer and I got just that with the Buddy Clubs. The BC cams are more comparable to the Toda A's than they are with the Toda B's. The Toda B's are more aggressive and although they show some nice gains throughout the entire rev range, they need more compression to realize their full potential.

Yes, it gave me gains everywhere. I just wanted to especially point out that it gave me an increase in the low to mid range since gains in this range are not typical from the so called MILD cams.

I ran Spec b's on my car for about 18 mos on a stock bottom end - the most I got out of them was about 185 whp.
Increasing compression and getting a custom ECU tune makes a huge difference.
For what you seek - I would go with cams that are optimized for the stock compression.
