no, theirs not supposed to be a sensor with the header but I think theirs supposed to be a bung where you can screw your stock one in.

not entirely, it is perfered, your engine might run rich; loss of overall perfromance, also the engine might not respond as quickly

no aftermarket header i've seen comes with an o2 sensor. you NEED to have an o2 sensor in there if you want it to run right. why dont you just take the old one out of your stock exhaust manifold? if you cant/wont do that, you can pick up a cheap one at the local parts store for 20-40 bucks

my dc header had a slot near the bottom for the o2 sesor to screw in, don't see why it would be any different for yours.

It should have the threaded hole for the O2, but it most certainly won't come with the actual sensor. You have to either take your old one out and reinstall in the new header, or buy a new one, as others have stated.

no no i have the sensor thats not the problem i must have re worded it wrong. I dont have a whole for my o2 sensor anywere on the header.

i talk to a guy he said his didnt either and he had to buy a nother pipe beacuse their was a gap between the header and the exaust. about a foot and the muffler shop drilled a whole for the sensor to go into. Does this make any sense or was this guy nuts?

inlinepro.com has weld-in o2 bungs for $10.00. Or get one locally if you can find one. Take it to a muffler shop, and have them weld it in. Shouldn't cost much at all.

Your friend must have gotten a header that was supposed to go on a different car, unless DC Sports really screwed up. My header was supposed to go on a Civic I think, but I put it on my car, and I had to make a section of pipe to connect it all up. If you ordered a header for your year/model car, you should be fine.

That is your problem right there... your header that you bought was for a different year gsr that didn't have an O2 sensor on the header itself... instead it was located further back on the cat. My DC 4-1 header that was made for an LS has a bung on it for an O2 sensor.

On your 98 there should be two 02s on the cat itself one before one after. 00-01 put the primary 02 on the header.

If the exhaust system hasn't been modified, then it still has the correct cat, and the header will just bolt right on.
