06 Civic Fog Light Install Guide (lots of pics)
This is for all of you with 06 Civics who plan on getting the fogs but would prefer to do it yourself on the install (I'm sure the labor quote isn't a pretty one). Note: This guide is based on an Si, and may be slightly different for other trims. If you have any questions, please refer to the instruction manual provided with the kit.
Feel free to ask any questions or for more in depth detail on any step. And if you have any other suggestions or comments to add please post them up as well! Hope you find this helpful. Oh yea, please excuse the dirty car!
Disclaimer: These are the pics I took of nearly almost every step while following the provided installation guide. These pics are not a substitute for the actual installation instructions and should not be treated as such. They are only for a visual tool to aid and assist you in your installation. I am not responsible if you mess up along the way. :D
There are 30 pics in all.

EDIT: The following img is looking up under the dash while lying on your back. The fuse box would be to the right and the center console to the left from this view.

The end!

Actually yes! Let's just say I had the JDM fogs on my Preludes, and the OEM fogs on my RSX and it was all looks. Couldn't really tell a noticable difference (not enough to make you say, "WHOA!"). They were purely for looks.
These are great. Best way to describe it, is if normal low beams let you see 11 and 1 (think of a clock face), then with the fogs you can see 10 and 2. They really light the road well, very happy with them.

lol, that's for calling for pizza delivery or to call up a friend to stand there for moral support while you curse at those effin wire harnesses. those things are a PITA to remove.

Can you rate the project for future users as in difficulty. Is this a project for a rookie or is some experience requierd. Also it would help if you listed all the tools used to install the lights and about how much time is needed to do the job.
Thanks. Hope this becomes a sticky so I can reference it when i get my Si.
And i hope to see more How-To's... From you in the future. Possibly C.A.I.??

hey guys. as for the kit, it was 238.80 from collegehillshonda.com or handaaccessories.com (vs paying $320 or whatever they are at the dealership). I didn't ask but I'm sure the job is 2-3 hours time at the dealer, so labor would without a doubt be near $200, I'd bet on it.
As for install dificulty, in all reality it's a 3 out of 5. There is nothing truly hard about it, it's mainly having the patience to remove those stubborn harnesses and taking your time and being careful when removing/cutting the bumper. If you have patience and are careful and take your time, you should have NO trouble at all.
As for the tools required:
screwdrivers (phillips and flat)
a 10 mm wrench
drill w/ a 10mm bit
a utility knife (but I reccomend/prefer a dremel)
everything else is supplied (zip ties, bolts, etc.)
the dremel definately makes it easier to soften the edges of the cutouts and remove all the rough edges and give it a smooth professional look.

I've only seen one new SI around my way so it makes me happy to see this writeup because that means pepole are at work on Hondas again!............
That is a great write-up... definitely sticky material
The only problem I see with it, is us 07 guys wouldn't necessarily benefit from this because there is no blank slot for the button (VSA lives there).
Anyone know how the kit gets installed for the 07's?

the holes that are created from drilling allow you to aim/adjust the foglights.
